The question that came to mind when you read the title, I suppose, is: "My problem? How do you know my problem?" And why do I sound so sure that you probably have a problem? Do I pray for problems for you? No, I don't. But I know one truth, that each one of us, at every point in time, has a specific problem he or she is dealing with. Therefore I want to show you the simplest way to find help for this particular challenge you are facing now...
The basis of every problem, is a mistake. It could be a mistake we made at some point in time. Sometimes too, it could be another person's mistake, the consequences of which we're painfully and/or innocently suffering. But, most of the times, how we handle that particular mistake determines the brevity or the chronicity of the problem.
The making of a mistake, I always say, is inevitable, as long as we are humans. We are not angels. We are not robots. So as for blunders, we will keep on committing them. But afterwards, what should we do? This is what most people neglect! After making a mistake, the best thing to do is to expose it as immediately as possible. Tell someone. Sounds crazy? What do I mean by this? What if the mistake is a secret? What if telling someone ends us in disgrace?
Still, tell someone. Expose it. Find help. That will be the bravest thing to do. Suppose it is some immoral act you committed which has ended in a sickness or a big problem. The worst thing you would ever do is to keep it to yourself. Yes, I mean it. But wait. Whom should you tell? Here's the point of caution! Not just anyone at all. Find confidants: your pastor, parents or your spouse. You can also tell a friend, but, please, check his or her trustworthiness first. Not all friends truthfully love you as they claim they do.
The point is, if you cover it, things will grow worse. The mistake won't be uncovered. Solution will not come. And your problem will not be solved. Shyness, fear and anxiety may force you to cover it. But if you do, that shyness or fear or anxiety cannot help you solve it. It is a human being that can help you. Therefore be bold, and approach someone: someone trustworthy. That will be the beginning of the end of your headache.
May the LORD open your eyes to see the profound truth in this...
