An Excerpt From LIFE AFTER SECONDARY SCHOOL (For All WASSCE Candidates In West Africa)

SHARE

At long last the tiring journey has come to an end:
Now the whole lot seems finally over!
We’ll say bye to our books, make merry, sleep, and
Spend the rest of our times in clover.
This isn’t the time to employ useless riotous living:
We must use this time very profitably.
Life won’t be easy at all, but let us keep on moving.
Let’s not give up, we will be able ably.
Never be proud, for, pride always goes before a fall.
Listen here, this certificate is nothing.
So do not think you have completed, and that is all.
Fight for the next one; get something!
Some of us will continue next year; some may wait.
If you get the chance to go thank God!
Those of us that will wait, listen, we are never late.
In God’s best time, we can also afford.
Let’s wait patiently, for, our results are on the way.
Let’s pray, and pray hard for the best.
Yes, the waiting time may be long but just one day,
All will be over; we’ll move to the next.
