FOOD OF THE SOUL (Part of the works of Isaac Essoun)

SHARE

Poetry is the food of the soul!
It gives man hope, in this strife.
Up from his head, down to his sole,
Poetry is the beautifier of his life!
Yes, in hopelessness it gives hope:
Without it, man cannot respire.
When he finds it impossible to cope,
Right there, Poetry will inspire!
Sweet Poetry: partner of the hapless!
Without Poetry, Life itself is lifeless!
