THE SECRET BEHIND MY BIRTH

SHARE

I do not know why some men suffer;
But why I was born, I know.
I have nothing in my hands to offer:
Only the way to hope, I show.
Widows sob and wail every dawn:
Who is They and Their Children's hope?
But I know this is why I was born:
Just to comfort, and help Them cope.
I see Orphans roaming in the streets, helpless:
They know not whom their plights to tell.
I was born to tell Them, They are not hapless.
I was born to tell Them, "It shall be well."
I see the Rich, Proud and the Haughty,
Filled with vanity, all their days.
I tell Them it never pays to be naughty,
And add that, true humility pays!
I see the Lazy, and commend Them not!
I see Them daily with their unpaid bills.
One of Them kindness from me, sought;
But I strongly rebuked: "Laziness kills!"
I do not know why some men suffer;
But why I was born, I know.
I have nothing in my hands to offer:
Only the way to hope, I show.
This is what, I can the World afford;
This why I was born, so help me God!
