The last time I visited the Kejetia market in Ghana, I loved the scene--the scene of people from all walks of this life. And I observed something.
Each one walked or ran in his own direction. Everyone seemed to have a particular place they were going to. So they moved briskly past each other, in the opposite directions.
But I wondered why they all did not move in one direction. However, after observing them for some time, I understood that after all, each one of them knew why he was moving towards where they were going to. They knew what they were looking for, and where to get them from.
So I asked myself that if that is the nature of life, why do people at times judge others critically? If each one of us has his own reasons for his actions, why then do we tend to force others to toe our lines whenever their perspectives are different from ours? And if they do not side with us, why do we misinterpret, judge, and asperse them baselessly, when we do not know their real intentions at all?
If only we would be patient and seek their concerns first before judging them, we would know why they do what they do, and why they do it the way they do it.
We are different people, with different philosophies of life...
